I think there are some uni which will allow no biology A-level. But as someone who wants to study medicine why won’t you be interested in taking it an A-level? You’ll be studying that content at uni. So if you don’t like bio I am not sure how much you’d enjoy it. Also a lot of first year content builds on biology A-level. So you’d struggle I think

Hey there,

My name is Siobhan I’m a third year physio student at the University of Central Lancashire. Before applying for physio I actually applied for medicine and from I recalls Biology wasn’t always necessary but Chemistry was. Biology might be preferred but it can sometimes be interchangeable with psychology, physics and other subjects. It will be uni specific however and the best way to double check this is to go on UCAS and see the entry requirements. You should also consider what grade you need to get in your UCAT.

Hope this helps at all and let me know if I can help in any way!!

Siobhan (Student Ambassador at University of Central Lancashire)
