Ucl offer holders i need help asap

Hey guys, received a UCL offer a couple weeks back, so I'm looking for good accommodation options near the uni and wth, WHY IS EVERYTHING SO EXPENSIVE. I have a bit of a dilemma with sharing bathrooms with other people since it makes me extremely uncomfortable especially because I usually spend like 2-3 hours at a time in the bathroom when I shower and get all the girlie stuff done iykyk. As an Asian I also feel really bad sharing a kitchen with other people cause I will probably be cooking up some cultural dishes like chicken feet or pig trotters or something and be using my trusty rice cooker. I ain't gonna spend 4 years of my life being judged by my peers for my food choices so i figured my best option would be a studio. TELL ME WHY ITS AT LEAST 400 PW, DOES IT LOOK LIKE MY MONEY GROWS ON TREES, THEY MAY ASWELL GO ROB A BANK NMD. HAIYAA IM LITERALLY GONNA BE LIVING IN DEBT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. GOODBYE STRESS FREE UNI LIFE, GOODBYE MY MONEY, GOODBYE MY FREE TIME, FLIPPIN HELL I MIGHT ASWELL GOODBYE THE MF WORLD.
Also i have so many concerns, what if i make no friends cause people find me weird. What if theres already established groups and im left out. What if I dont even like the course that im doing. What if the accommodation is so **** that i can't stand living there. What if after uni i cant find a job, become unemployed, having to work in mcdonalds and be living on the streets and then catching some deadly disease and dying in the rain in some dark corner where my body rots and gets nibbled on by rats. Does anyone else get where im coming from like. Also IM GOING TO UNI AND LIVING ALONE FOR 4 YEARS IN THE NEXT 4 MONTHS???!!!! Hello? wth. This is probably on me but my parents are very overprotective and they do literally everything for me. Im very dependent on other people and i barely leave my house so I have null living and society skills. I kid u not i've lived in my current area for about 4 years now and I still get lost. I have null coordination and navigation skills; now take this into context of how complicated London is gonna be to navigate...IM LITERALLY GONNA GET LOST, LOSE ALL MY BELONGING AND DIE IN SOME SMALL STINKEY ALLEYWAY. I barely know how to flippin use a washing machine ffs. Im literally gonna die within the first two months of living alone. MAY LORD PLEASE SEND ME SOME HELP. OR JUST ANYONE PLS SEND ME SOME ADVICE. Any advice as a London student would be much appreciated. Any other UCL offer holders pls just have a rant with me im stressing out. Let's just discuss and share some useful info.
I will update on my accommodation status so hopefully there will be more rants from me.

Shower rooms are for showering, end of. You have a mirror in your room. If a studio is too expensive then find a cheaper country; the UK is expensive.
Well, either accept a non-UCL offer or get a decent housemate. Although I suspect the 3hr bathroom visits are going to be more of an issue than the cooking.
London is one of the most expensive cities in the world and in any city you will pay a premium for the privilege of living alone (or having an ensuite). You need to manage your expectations as above, or choose another option that suits your lifestyle requirements if needed.

It's unreasonable to monopolise a shared bathroom for that long - even an hour is a very long time to be preventing the people you live with from using a bathroom. This is just something you need to manage and be realistic about as above. I've lived with plenty of girls and women over my life and none have required regularly using the bathroom for hours on end - that's a you problem.

Regarding cooking that's probably less of an issue if you're cooking in your own pots and pans and such unless there are particularly egregious smells created that don't air out through windows easily. I suspect in most cases that's not really a big problem and can be mitigated by opening windows and just cooking when people aren't using the kitchen at the same time.

I’ve applied for accommodation too, but only for shared since money absolutely does not grow on trees 🙈. I also have no idea what is where in London, like absolutely no clue about names of streets etc. If you were in my accom I’d be willing to try new food even if it’s different from my taste lol. That’s what unis about, blending with other cultures and making new friends and new interests. Trust me if people made you feel weird about the food then that’s their issue, some people are even picky about fish, no need to feel bad about it as its not like you’re forcing other people to eat it. From what I’ve seen, some showers in UCL accoms are just a small room with a shower in it, so no space to get ready etc, just in and out, with seperate toilet rooms. 3 hours might be too ambitious and it might be a good idea to get used to shorter shower times before uni starts. Good luck for September xx you seem really nice and funny

yhhh i ended up booking a studio at IQ east court so I should be fine, I just don't wanna be a pain to anyone else in the accommodations so ig i'll stick to having my own place for now until i can get rid of my bad habits.
