Anyone struggling with revision

Hi i’m in yr13 currently struggling to revise. I feel so disgusted with myself i feel like a failure. There’s one month left and im literally scaping Ds in my subjects. I cant revise at all im AWFUL someone please give me advice
Have you been able to identify what is making you struggle with revision so much? If you can figure that out then you can work backwards and try to solve it.
Generally, I would recommend trying to pick out a few little topics per subject to work on over the week and then writing down the night before what youll do the next day. Having someone to keep you accountable might help, like having a study buddy or starting a gyg blog.
Hope this helps 🙂 Happy to try answer any questions if you have them!

Do you think it would be okay if i prioritised 2 subjects instead of 1

I think that that depends on how different the two outcomes are.
If you prioritise sociology which is the subject you seem to struggle the most with but neglect the other 2 then (as im sure youre aware) you run the risk of the Ds youre working at in internal assessments being your actual exam grades.
If you think that focusing on your other 2 subjects would allow you to pull your grades in those 2 subjects up to Cs or higher so you end up with CCD for example then that seems like a better outcome than DDD or CDD.
My main piece of advice would be to talk to your sixth form. It’s unlikely that they’ll be able to pull you out of your sociology exams at this stage because youll already have been entered for the papers but they might be able to withdraw you (I have no idea if that’s possible at this stage or if its what you want but if it is id ask). There’s students are my sixth form who were struggling in a subject in year 13 and there pulled from the course and given another year to improve and sit the exam. This might not be a possibility at your sixth form, if you were to be able to be withdrawn from your sociology a level then you might have to sit it as a private candidate. If you are not withdrawn but you dont get the grades you need in the summer then you’d have to re-sit as a private candidate which will be costly and youll have to manage your own time etc but it’s possible for sure!

the thing is is that i don’t want to get pulled at if i do well on this health paper i get a Distinction over all grade. equivalent to an A and i’m pretty sure i could be able to get a C in business and a D in sociology

That’s understandable, being withdrawn from the exam should only be a last resort so hopefully you can come up with a way to get the grades youre aspiring towards without resits etc. Best of luck with your health paper! Fingers crossed that all your exams go well 🙂
