Computing MA University of Aberdeen

Is anyone studying computing MA at Aberdeen I know all the core subjects are the same as the BSC.it does say about the further 60 credits to choose from but doesn’t say particularly what they are and gives no information on them.
Can anyone help as they have given me an unconditional offer to study there but I can’t find any information on what the extra 60 credits I can choose from in year 1 and 2.

Hi, this is the University of Aberdeen rep account. Thanks very much for posting and my apologies for not replying to this until now! Basically with the extra credits you can select any courses as long as they don't clash with your compulsory courses (although note that if it's a course in another subject priority for places will be given to those who have it as a compulsory course as part of their degree). You can look at the full range of courses available here: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/registry/courses/undergraduate
From what you say you should have enough credits to pick two additional courses per term. I hope that makes sense and let us know if you have any more questions we can help with!

Also if wanting to go for a masters in computer science or AI as such will the MA degree fulfill the requirement needed to move onto a masters at Aberdeen following a decent grade at undergraduate level as both the MA and BSC have the same compulsory courses.

That's correct; the MA is an Undergraduate degree and usually for our Postgraduate degrees we're looking for an Undergraduate degree in a related subject. Id' say it would be worth checking specifically what these Postgraduates are looking for: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/study/postgraduate-taught/degree-programmes/?q=computing&view=detailed
If it's in the same subject we wouldn't discriminate between the MA and BSc as they're both Undergraduate degrees. Let me know if you'd like to discuss this any further!
