is dot product formula for a level maths???

I have seen some questions on dot product and dot product formula for vectors but I'm not sure if it is included in a level maths Edexcel. A correct response based on the most recent syllabus would be really appreciated

It’s not in A level Maths (Edexcel) as far as I’m aware. You first encounter it in Further Maths (Core Pure 1 for Edexcel).

Hi, Definitely comes up in further - however i'm an AQA student so don't quote me...maybe has potential to be used in Mechanics section (although there maybe alternate methods). Some exam boards allow further maths students to transfer methods to standard maths - if this makes sense

Hi! I'm taking maths + further maths edexcel so I can confirm that it's not in A-Level maths but definitely comes up in further maths - in the core pure vectors topic and further mechanics where you have to use it to find the direction of a vector. This may be unrelated but I believe the cross product also comes up in the further pure module, but I can't guarentee since I don't take that one.
