help with econ/maths uni courses

hii, i'm in year 12 and i'm mainly considering to study economics in university but i'm also keeping maths as a backup option. i'm thinking of having a career in finance

if anyone is in university and is studying economics/maths (preferably at top unis like LSE or UCL) i'd love to know what made you pick the uni you're studying in, what course you decided to take and why(e.g. pure econ or mixed econ with stats) and what you're planning to do next if you've thought of it (so masters, MBA or even a job). If you took the TMUA, can i please have some advice on what you did to prepare for it and what extracurriculars you did to secure your place.

if anyone is in year 13 and considering studying econ/maths, i'd be happy to also hear your input on what courses/unis you picked for UCAS and why (if you have backup options, i'd love to know that too). If you have TMUA advice or advice in general for a-levels, please feel free to share!

thanks!
