Loughborough Accommodation

I was wondering if each hall was known for different things. For example, a more sporty hall and a party hall. I'm not really that into sports and I'm not that interested in being in a heavily party hall. I also don't know whether to go catered or uncatered. Also, does anyone know the different hall activities and social events because I think it would be interesting to see what they offer. Do halls also come with benefits like free sport membership or anything like that.sorry for the long post.

No worries!

Some halls are known for certain things, but it's not a strong association and so there's no need to worry.
Catered vs self catered is up to you. Obviously with catered, food is sorted for you - and you've got a nice social element of eating with your friends in the dining hall.
With self catered, you're obviously in control of what you eat. However, you're able to still buy catered meals if you really wish to.

Social events depends on the committee, but there tends to be a summer and winter ball and high tables (which is a semi-formal meal where you can mix with others in your hall) as a minimum. There will be other events as well, but it's down to the committee to decide on what they should be.

I'd encourage you to look at the website for benefits.
