Can I do a levels with only 2 gcses?

I am taking my GCSE exams this May/June, and I was originally planning to do 5 GCSEs but regarding my health conditions, I may not be able to do all 5. I hear that you only need maths and english in order to take A-Levels.
So is it possible to take A-levels with only 2 GCSES? Do you need to take all 5 subjects in order for your grade to be valid? Since I am an overseas student I want to know if you must do all the compulsory subjects for your grade to be valid or if you can do just 2 subjects and they are valid?

I am studying 3 a levels with no brain so anything is possible

with regards to your question it depende on what a levels you want to do

i fink you can just do 2 subjects as a private candidate assuming the examboard lets you be a private candidate you would have to register with a centre online instead of a school

the GCSE requirement would hold if you wanted to attend a UK High School since the school may require a certain threshold for being able to study specific a levels

As long as you have Maths and English (which I believe are the only compulsory subjects at GCSE), you should be fine. However, sometimes there are requirements of what must be studied before starting A- levels so make sure you check that out before you start them. Best of luck!
