If you’re revising for GCSE Maths and English, the key is to use a mix of active recall, spaced repetition, and plenty of past paper practice. Since your maths is weaker, focus more time there by identifying your weak topics (like algebra or fractions), watching tutorial videos to understand the concepts, and then doing lots of practice questions. Use websites like Maths Genie, Corbett Maths, Dr Frost Maths, Physics & Maths Tutor, and BBC Bitesize for high-quality resources. Also try MathsBot for interactive tools and quick drills. YouTube channels like Maths Genie, Corbettmaths, Mr Tompkins Ed Tech, and TLMaths explain difficult topics clearly and are great for learning how to tackle exam-style questions. Make flashcards for formulas, review your mistakes carefully, and do plenty of worded problems, which are a common area where students lose marks.

For English, which you’re stronger in, you should still regularly practise analysing texts, learning quotes, and refining your essay writing. Focus on mastering techniques like metaphor, tone, and structure, and plan responses using PEEL/PEE paragraphs. Make use of BBC Bitesize, Mr Bruff’s website, Seneca Learning, SparkNotes, and LitCharts to revise both Language and Literature. For video support, Mr Bruff, Mr Salles, Stacey Reay, and First Rate Tutors all break down questions and model high-level answers. Practice writing under timed conditions, read examiner reports to see what earns top marks, and make flashcards for quotes and key themes.

I'd recommend doing past papers for maths. Go through each question, and if you find one hard, learn that whole topic and try more questions on it. You can find topic-specific questions on sites like Physics & Maths Tutor or Cognito.I’m not the best with English, so I can’t help much there, but in general, for most subjects, doing past papers and focusing on the topics you struggle with really helps.
