Yes, it is the first year. But I have been following USA medicine & disease olympiad for the last three years. Here is their website: https://www.usmdo.org. I also found the international medicine and disease olympiad https://www.imdolympiad.org. But these wesbites don't have much info.

As far as I can see on https://ukmdo.co.uk, there is still no registration form.

UK Medicine & Disease Olympiad 2025
The first annual UKMDO, the UK Medicine and Disease Olympiad, will take place on August 17, 2025. It is a 2-hour exam that can be started anytime from on August 17, 2025 and must be submitted by 11:59 pm EST. To register for the competition, please fill out the registration form below. The deadline for registration August 10, 2025.

The UKMDO is a national and international competition designed for high school students (ages 13–18) interested in medicine, human biology, and health sciences. You'll face case-based questions covering:
