Oxford Brookes 3 hour OT interview

I have an interview with Oxford Brookes for the Occupational Therapy Bsc and I've found out it's 3 hours long! I've had all my interviews with my other unis choices and they've only lasted 30 to 45 mins. Why is Brookes so long? What are they doing that it needs to be this long? 😅

Ring them up and ask them.
It might be that the 3 hours includes a talk and a campus tour or similar and then some waiting around while everyone in the group is interviewed.

Hi @Anonymous#1,

Thank you for getting in touch, and congratulations on receiving your interview invitation for the BSc Occupational Therapy course 🎉

While I don’t have the exact breakdown of the schedule, the longer time slot is usually to ensure we give every applicant a full and fair opportunity to demonstrate their strengths. The session often includes multiple components, such as group activities, an individual interview, and possibly a short written task or discussion. All of these are designed to help us get to know you better, and to give you a clearer sense of the course and the profession.

The interview is also a great chance to ask questions and learn more about the course and life here at Oxford Brookes!

You can find lots of useful information on preparing for your interview on our interview preparation webpage.

Wishing you the very best of luck! Should you have any more questions, feel free to post them below ☺️

Best wishes,

Clare
