Accommodation worries

Hello,

I have locked in Leicester as my insurance choice for university, and I was wondering how slim my chances of getting accommodation at Freemans Common is as the uni isnt my firm? I really liked the single ensuites so ive got both types (premium and normal) as my options, but I imagine they're popular ones, so is it unlikely I'll get a room there?

It is understandable that you have these concerns, but accommodation availability varies each year, so some years we may sell out of ensuite accommodation at Freemen's, whereas other years we will have rooms available still. This is also because not everyone who has applied to Leicester will ultimately come here and some people may even change their accommodation options. We therefore recommend that students with a preference select their accommodation types based on their preference, even if at the time we are sold out, and we will try our hardest to assign you to an accommodation type closest to your preference. As long as you apply for accommodation before the 1st September, you will have guaranteed university-managed accommodation. Furthermore, when the accommodation team make offers for accommodation, students have a limited time to make a deposit to accept this offer, so if students miss this then more availability may come up.
