Hi, if you email [email protected] they will be able to send you some helpful information regarding the BA social work course and placements, they could also contact some current SW ambassadors to give some information.

Hey, :hello:

50% of your time will be spent on placements on the BA Social work course at CCCU!

The social work degree is carefully balanced to ensure you are taught theoretical aspects of social work which can be applied to practice situations. You will typically have 16 contact hours per week for academic modules and will be on placement 5-days per week in year 2 and 3. Please note that the placements are spread out on blocks therefore, you may spend 6 weeks on placement and then be back in Uni for teaching for 6 weeks.

100% of our social work students were in jobs or further study just 15 months after completing the degree.

Find our more about the course by checking out the webpage: https://www.canterbury.ac.uk/study-here/courses/social-work or emailing [email protected]

I hope this helped!
