Claiming Universal Credit as a full time student question

Hello,

I am 23 years old. I am going to be studying full time BA for three years at University. I was just wondering if it was possibly to claim Universal credit as a full time student? Myself and my partner are looking to rent a place near to my uni this September. We are both have disabilities. We both do not work and are currently living with his parents. I am also estranged from both of my parents. I will also have student loans as well.

I have done my research and have phoned UC but they was not much help as they said to use the calculator on gov website . I wanted more information.

I don't know the ins and outs of UC, but as far as I'm aware if you receive maintenance loan I don't believe you can claim UC. I would look into the DSA allowance as you've mentioned that you have a disability. I would recommend going to somewhere like Citizens Advice/ a local centre who may be able to help you out as there may be specific procedures in place to take into consideration your and your partners living situations
