Clearing 2024

I'm legitimately terrified I won't meet any of my offers. Where can I find which uni courses were available through clearing last year?

Hi @spicychicken72

Try not to worry about the possibility of not meeting your offers at this stage. I appreciate that's easier said than done, but it's important to keep a positive mindset.

It can be wise to have a look into other options and Clearing, however, so you're clued up on what you can do it things don't go to plan. A Clearing list will go live on UCAS Search on 5th July, and more places will be added after Results' Day too. Uni websites will also start to show courses available during Clearing moving towards Results' Day.

Something I would suggest doing in the meantime so you feel confident with your back up plan, would be to have a look at what courses, unis and subjects you might be interested in, so you know what to look out for when Clearing goes live in July, should you need to use it.

I've added the UCAS page on Clearing here: https://www.ucas.com/applying/after-you-apply/clearing-and-results-day/what-clearing
And also the BCU webpage on Clearing: https://bit.ly/3TNG4S7
You might find it helpful to have a read through some of the information on here to get a better idea about what to expect with Clearing.

I hope this helps and best of luck with your results. 🙂

Hi there,

It's completely understandable to feel this way -you're definitely not alone!

It's good to familiarise yourself with the clearing process so you're aware of what to do if it comes down to this. The UCAS Clearing page breaks this down really well, so it might be a good idea to take a look here. From July 5th a full list of universities and their available courses will be published. You will be able to apply for a course using Clearing if you’re not already holding an offer from a university or college. Clearing advice and information will start to come out as it gets closer to the date, so don't worry if you're not currently seeing much.

Just in case it comes down to it, I'd suggest having an idea of the universities and courses you'd be interested in before Clearing opens - this should help ease some of your stress in the meantime. We have a really useful webpage that breaks down the clearing process, how it works, what to expect, and the next steps. It could be worth taking a look, even if you are unlikely to consider our University: https://www.lancashire.ac.uk/clearing

I hope this helps and good luck with your offers!
Best wishes,
^ Hannah 😊
