UEA

Hey, I’m trying to choose accommodation at UEA. Has anyone on here stayed at either the en suite village or en suite campus? What were they like and which one would you recommend?

Hi there,

Nice to hear you're looking at UEA accommodation, both En Suite Campus and En Suite Village are solid options, and each has a slightly different feel depending on what you're after.

En Suite Campus (like Barton, Hickling, Crome Court) is right at the heart of campus. You’re close to lecture halls, the library, the SU, the shop and everything. If convenience is your priority, you can’t really beat it. The buildings are newer, a bit more modern, and generally have bigger kitchens and good social spaces. It’s a popular choice for first-years who want to be right in the middle of things.

En Suite Village, on the other hand, is a 10–15 minute walk from the centre of campus. It’s still very social but has a more relaxed, community vibe. People tend to really bond with their flatmates here. It’s quieter in terms of campus noise but not antisocial by any means. It also tends to be slightly cheaper than Campus en suites.

If you’re after a more lively, central experience go Campus. If you’d prefer a more chilled but still sociable feel (with a bit more space and fresh air), Village could be a better fit.

Let me know what kind of vibe you're hoping for and I can help narrow it down!
