Are my gcse grades enough?

Hello, so im currently at a 8+ in math, 5 in English, 6/6 combined science, 7 in business, 4 ict. What courses can I get into university with these grades and also are these grades good enough to get me into a good university.

Depends on the course, the context and the uni so i recommend looking at individual uni websites and seeing what they require. Generally they only seem to care about maths and English and sometimes science but really is just down to the uni.

I dont have much experience with business and finance requirements really. LSE wouldn’t accept you if you get these grades in the summer because they require a 6 in English but outside of lse i have no knowledge im afraid. My advice would be to focus on improving your grades and think about uni later. When you do look at unis in year 12 or year 11 summer or whenever youll have to check the unis gcse requirements and also level 3 (a level or btec or whatever) requirements to see if you meet them. Hope that helps and apologies i couldnt be more specific with recommendations 🙂

Hi there,

universities will look at your A-Levels, so I would not stress too much regarding your GCSEs. From what I can tell, you hit the GCSE requirements for pretty much all uni's. Most unis look for a minimum of grade 4/5 for maths and English, which you already have.
