clearing with pharmacy

hello, I currently have applied to pure chemistry at kings but after some more research I have taken preference in studying pharmacy and going down that career path, but it is too late to change my application and I think I might have to go through clearing this year or take a gap year. does anyone know what it would be like to do pharmacy this year through clearing and if any good unis like kings or UCL is likely to take admissions for pharmacy, and if I do go through clearing do I still have to prepare for interviews and make a new personal statement?
I want to get good a level grades so that I can try and apply without the a a level stress. thanks so much

it has hardly been the case where UCL or kings pharmacy were in clearings due to the high volume of applications . I think if you really really want to go to london unis for pharmacy, take a gap year. They will not accept another personal statement for this 2025 cycle so start a new application, write a new personal statement. During the gap year you could do some internship or work experience related to pharmacy. Taking a gap year will not disadvantage you in any way

As above, any Unis asking for high grades for MPharm are very unlikely to need to be in Clearing - and be aware that many other Unis will prefer to take near-miss MPharm offer holders rather that faff-about holding interviews in the middle of Clearing. And, Clearing applicants will be at the back of the queue for any remaining accommodation and sometimes that can mean no accommodation at all.

A far better idea would be to plan a gap year, and apply to 5 new Uni choices in September for 2026 entry.

You have an offer for Chemistry from Kings. Why not ask if you can swap to pharmacy? If you dont ask, you wont know.
