gcse geography

i'm trying to get all 9's by the time i get to my actual gcses. however in all my tests for geography i've always gotten 7/8's, and i'm hoping for a 9 in my finals. any tips on how to learn the content/exam technique?

Hi, I'm currently doing my A-Levels now but I did GCSE AQA geography as well and I was in the same boat so I'm going to tell you what I wish my teachers had told me at the time.

The first step is to look over all of your different tests and see where you're going wrong. That way you can determine if you need to focus on content more or exam technique. If you're at a 7/8 right now, then I would suggest focusing on exam technique (but it's completely up to you).

If you feel like exam technique is what you need to improve on then identify which specific questions you're not doing well in (is it 4 markers, 6 markers, 9 markers or evaluate, describe questions) After you've done that, ask your teacher if they can provide you with any resources in order to help you with those exam questions.

If you want to improve on content then websites like Seneca are really good for interactive learning, Gizmo is a website which you can use to make flashcards which is great for active learning. Looking over notes is also a good way to learn content but you mainly want to focus on active recall.

Hope that's helpful. You're going to smash your GCSEs
