OCR GCSE Classical Civilisation Paper 2 (J199/21-23) - 2nd June 2025 [Exam Chat]

Hi what would you say is the best way to revise for classics because I mean recently I've been getting below a 4 and that's without trying and I'm aiming for at least a 6 but I feel so demotivated to revise because there is so much content to revise so do you have any tips or recommendations that will help?

Do you have the textbook?

I have the OCR classical civilisation myth and religion book if that's the one you're referring too? However I don't have any textbook for the Homeric world.

I Think making mind maps is really helpful, it also allowed me to understand the Odessy and Odysseus journey as it was all laid out

Does anybody have any useful websites/videos which contain the Odyssey or Mycenae content for Paper 2?

does anyone have any war and warfare predictions
or at least any tricks for memorising the various structures of the roman and sparten armies? thx sm

i think there will be alot about rome and the structure of the army/navy, and athens too
i doubt much of trajan's column will come up since it came up so much last year
im thinking homer book 22 might come up it hasnt in a while
and im thinking there might be a focus on honour/cowardice
