As a mature student

Hi,

Wanted clarity whilst I'm browsing the SFE application.

I'm a 30yo mature student starting full-time in Sep 2025, living at home with retired parent in London. Currently working full-time but will obviously have to quit before starting uni.

When it asks about my household income, do I include what I'm currently earning even though I won't be working during the course? Or only include my parent's income?

Hi there, if you are living with parents then you would state 'living with parents' on the application but we wouldn't take anyone's income into account. Therefore, you'd be assessed as an independent student without declaring any income. Thanks, Jason
