Hi, have you tried the CGP maths revision guide? It's really helpful. I thought I would fail for maths last year November, but thankfully I've got a 7. I highly recommend the book. Also, there's a useful youtube channel called The Organic Chemistry Tutor.

P.S: I'm taking English Language IGCSE this year. Taking Spec A. Please can you tell me what study materials you used to study for it? I'm so worried about my grades.😢

Tysm! I appreciate the recommendations. I'm literally so scared for my maths you've on idea 😖 Basically I took English Lang. Spec B, which is slightly different to A in regards to poems, but everything else is the same. I didn't use that much material to be fair either as my tutor helped me quite a lot, but First Rate Tutors on Youtube did help me a lot with understanding the questions and learning how to structure my essays. Also language techniques are KEY! I found loads of definitions on BBC Bitesize. Finding as many as you can in (the poems) for example, or the reading texts. you can highlight, reread, annotate just get as many down as possible and then explain why they're being used.( eg. how does this make the text pop...etc) Remeber PEED paragraphs (😅) All the teachers swear by those. Then, ofc just doing loads of past papers with the mark scheme and looking at how to get the top marks. That's all I can think of for now lol. Sorry if this is just a bit repetitive. English was never my strong point (even though its my favourite subject!) but honestly I hope you smash it! I'm sure you'll do great! x plz let me know if any of its helpful

Any tips for English Literature?

I highly recommend 'Mr Salles Teaches English' on Youtube for all of the texts actually especially the literary heritage text (I did Macbeth) He gave so many useful points that you could take and not just repeating the same ideas. Mr Bruff was also very good but I didn't use him as much. Also, for poetry the study guide for the; 'IGCSE Anthology Poetry for The Literature Exam' -This guide was incredible so many connotations and really delved into the poems. I did have to pay for that (still recommend) But alternately Mrs Rumsey on Youtube as well, was amazing for covering the poetry anthology. Again sorry for making this really long! I do tend to make these very lengthy but honestly if this helps you or anyone else that would be amazing. Hope its helped  Lmk if so x

https://youtu.be/IoIEivkRPZM?si=ZXVMT4m3ipH-kDDe This video was good👆🏼 https://youtu.be/eqVeyuF6j2M?si=ZkvkvqFLHnkm1Q5k And this one for the quotes, remember your trying to memorize them. At least one for each theme (eg. betrayal, evil, manipulation etc.) that's basically getting you the top marks. Also always look back at the mark scheme its highly important 😃

Ambition, Manipulation, Greed (which you could tie in with ambition actually) Fate (like the witches prophecies) maybe Trust Ig, and then Betrayal to oppose it. Aaand...Loyalty. Those are the top ones i can think of rn. You'll definitely get a question relating to one of those tho. or along those lines

ooh I haven't seen anyone else doing Islamic studies edexcel!! I do it too ) Something that helps incredibly is going through EVERY SINGLE specification point, and trying to make flashcards for it or just coming up with ideas in your head. I did this just before my mock, and it helped me immensely because I found that sometimes the questions are just rewordings of the specification point. Another thing that would help so much is to always add in an extra hadith/verse in your 12 markers! I'm assuming you already know the structures of the 6 and 12 markers btw, but lmk if you don't! It's honestly not too bad, even if you don't quote perfectly and just say, for example, "Surah ikhlas has the message of tawhid...." it does help. Better to learn the translations of a few of the surahs though 🙂 Hadiths would be great too.

For the spec points, I do have half flashcards done for section A (thankfully my friends are helping too), so you can check them out if you want, js to get an example of what I mean w the spec points: https://quizlet.com/user/lively_leopard829/folders/islamic-studies-gcse?i=2rn5rf&x=1xqt

sorry they're not of much use for sec B and C 😭😭 trying to get them done soon tho in sha Allah, once again, allhamdullilah for my friends haha. hope this helps!

Just trying to get my son (home educated, would be Year 10) through Edexcel IGCSE English spec B, and Unit 1 of Edexcel IGCSE Maths (modular) Foundation this month.

@Ari_siyax what did you use to revise English spec B last year?

I've had two kids go through English spec B already a couple of years ago but they both had live classes / tutors, whereas this one is self-studying from a written course.
He's struggling mostly with sections A and B.

Hey, don’t stress you’re not alone! The best way to study Business is by doing lots of past papers. Focus on getting the structure right for 3, 6, 9, and 12 mark questions it really helps.

You should check out Business Teacher T on YouTube (it’s kinda boring but worth it ). She explains things clearly and helps with exam technique.
And if you’re stuck on any topic, use ChatGPT to help make notes or go to save my exams . You’ve got this! And if u still
Feel stuck on understanding how to answer the question you can check out examiner reports where you’ll usually find model answers that could help you . You can find them on the Pearson edexel website

Hey, thanks for the good vibes and best of luck to you too! That’s a solid lineup of subjects—especially with CIE sciences, I know how tricky those can get.
For Arabic and Islamic Studies, I’d recommend checking YouTube channels like "Ibn Jareer" or "Cambridge in 5 Minutes"—they’ve got helpful breakdowns. Also, doing past paper mark schemes and examiner reports really helps tie everything together.
Also, I help other students with revision tips and study guides through my Fiverr page if anyone ever needs one-on-one help: https://www.fiverr.com/amelia_ashf
Let’s all smash these exams—wishing you (and everyone here) the best of luck!

Hey sorry if this is a bit late, but I thought I’d recommend save my exams. You may or may not know about it already but it’s amazing. They have lots of igcse revision which details how to answer each question. For example, it gives you how to structure question 1, 2, 3 etc. I really recommend it, it also gives some analysis about the individual texts too so that may be helpful to you. I wish you success in your exams, don’t worry too much, have faith that you will do well!!
