Will EU not come up?

I personally think it won’t because in terms of the questions they could potentially ask us it will be extremely limited and if it does i believe it would link with elections and referendums in the uk.

Will EU not come up?

I reckon so, it hasn't in 4 years iirc, so its pretty possible

I reckon the following topics:

EU

Pressure groups

Political parties

Thats just hunch based tho, but EU and PGs haven't come up in a suspiciously long time...

Nah because they're small units, but I reckon one of them will because of how untouched they've been

What else are we expecting for paper 1

I cannot see them asking a whole question on the EU.

I could see them

Asking a question about the ECHR/ECtHR as rights protection tools (but remember they aren't part of the EU)

Asking about the role of referendums in UK politics

Asking about salience vs valence in general elections

Asking a question about majorities that lets you talk about the ERG, Change UK or Brexit

Asking a question about democratic deficits that lets you talk about the referendum

But really, nine years after we voted to leave and five years after we officially left they are not going to ask a whole question about the EU.

referendums came up last year as a 25 marker, cant see them asking a 25 marker on them again?

devolution, the judiciary and the constitution havent really come up so much in essays or extracts in a while (i dont think) , my lecturer says that they cant see a 25 marker being on the eu but maybe a 9 marker as they have done that before

What’s everyones predictions for AQA on Tuesday??

My predictions based on trends and what my tutors predict:

9M - Pol. Parties (3 roles of political parties OR policies of the Lib Dems
9M - PM + Cabinet (3 factors that affect the relationship)
9M - Pressure group (Methods particularly by outsider groups)
25M - Judiciary composition. (Diversity etc)
25M - Pathway to electoral reform (maybe what has been the most significance) / A past question ( I can see AQA repeating a question maybe on party funding)

Anyone else’s predictions would be great!

Thank you! What do you think the extract could possibly be on, that's the question that drags my grade down so would be great to know what people think!

Yh I sat it last year and it was an extract along with labour policies, backbenchers and pgs and the 25 choice one was either about participation except for social class and party funding
