Revising A-level economics

I literally have less than a month to my a levels now and I am really struggling with economics. In my last mock I got a D but i need a B for my uni offers. Ive created summary sheets and I am currently completing active recall with them but I worry I dont have enough time before exams but should I continue with this? Also, timing is something I really struggle with, is it worth putting time into past papers to hone in on this and also gain practice at the same time? or should i just focus on content.

also, any extra tips would be appreciated, economics has made the past 2yrs a challenge lol

Hey @munchypoosticks,

It's definitely worth putting time into honing your exam technique through past papers; timing is vital in terms of collecting marks in both the shorter and longer Economics essays. One trick is to use the 'mark per minute' technique - for example, if your overall paper is worth 75 marks and you have 90 minutes to complete it, each mark should be allocated a little bit over a minute. This means a twenty five mark essay should be allocated thirty minutes to complete, a two mark question should be given perhaps two/three minutes, etc.

Past papers are also a great way to combine active recall and exam technique, so I truly can't recommend them enough as a revision tool. 🙂

Best of luck with your A-Levels!

Hey @munchypoosticks,

If you want to take another week to consolidate your content knowledge, that's perfectly fine. Past papers don't take as long as you might think to complete, and you don't want to run out of them too soon before your exam.

Good luck!
