Hello all, how many hours have you been doing a day of revision for the Easter Holidays so far if you are aiming for all grade 9s?

Hey @Sichwünschen ,

Keep in mind that although quantity may be important at times, it's also about the quality! So, ensure you're meeting all the learning objectives and points of the sub topics you need to revise.

Also do take breaks, don't burn yourself out. It's so easy to forget to rest and get caught up in revision but also you owe it to yourself to be kind and keep taking rest especially if you're revising in the holidays! Best of luck 🙂

Hello @Sichwünschen!

When I was studying for my GCSEs, I revised for roughly two to three hours a day during this period - albeit, most of that time was spent completing past paper questions as that was the revision method that worked best for me.

However, as Zaynab mentioned above, it's not about the quantity of time you spend revising but rather the amount of content you manage to cover in that time. The coming weeks are likely to be rather stressful, so make sure to spend time relaxing during your holiday break as well as revising. 🙂

Hope this helped and best of luck with your GCSEs,
Eve (Kingston Rep).

I'm just experiencing a bit of an issue because I normally willingly study like 12+ hours on weekends, 6+ hours on a school day (which i enjoy) but unfortunately I really can't think of anything to study. I have GCSEs in the following subjects, starting right after the end of the holidays:
Maths (76/80 and 78/80 on the Y11 mocks, which i have been allowed to do this year in Y10) -> learnt the mistakes I made and I've since done all of the past papers and every single online question i can find. Now I can't think of any particular topic I'd be especially likely to get wrong
Economics -> not sure because I haven't had a teacher but I get all the short questions right and chat gpt gives me full marks on all the essay questions i send in. I know all of GCSE concepts (as far as I am aware) and also some a level ones to throw in
Russian -> well I'm not too sure but I paid a teacher (from a centre) to mark some papers and she gave me full marks for everything and said it's really good

But now I am in the situation where I really don't know how I am supposed to occupy myself all day and at 10:52am today I had done:

4 russian essays

6 econ essays

All my flashcards (there's lots so it took over an hour)

A very lengthly (at least an hour) recap of russian grammar (participles, gerunds, prefixed verbs of motion, etc.).

And other small tasks

(i woke up at 4am)

And I was sat there thinking 'it's not even lunchtime and I've completed my whole task list! What is there to do?
What would you reccomend I do in this stage of revision

Hey @Sichwünschen,

It's great that you have so much revision done so early in the day, but I'd also recommend giving yourself some time to relax. Unfortunately, even if you love studying, you can only revise the same concepts so many times before you know them off by heart! 🙃

Best of luck,
Eve (Kingston Rep).

It's just that I really want something to do - I start to feel really demotivated at around 2pm and then I just think that I've wasted the day
