OCR A level Geology Help

Does anyone have some notes/help for OCR A level geology as it is the subject I struggle with the most. Thank you :smile:

let me explain it to you simply. There are 2 aspects of geology, Lithology and structure. Lithology refers to the physical and chemical composition of individual rock types for example bonds inbetween rock particles. Rocks such as limestone have weak lithology due to weak bonds between rock particles and therefore less resistant to erosion because it can be easily broken. Basalt is a rock with strong lithology because it has dense interlocking crystals between particles. Because of weak bonds in carbonate rocks such as limestone, they are soluble in weak acids ( chemical weathering ). Structure refers to the permeability, bedding and jointing. Just have a look at the 3 types of stratas and boom thats it
