The Student Room Group

Confused on question SFE

My parents are no longer living together but not yet divorced.
Me and younger brother (who is in primary school) are living with our mum. Me, my mum and dad are all full-time students in university.

My mum is currently reapplying for student finance and when completing the "Do any of the circumstances apply to you?", one of the points was "You or your partner who's also a student, are responsible for a young person aged under 20 who's in full-time education below higher-education level or on an approved training course."

She is confused whether this point applies to her or not?

Hi Olive,

Are your parents separated and is your Dad providing his details to support your mums application or do you know if she's been classed as 'separated' on her application? If so, she would put 'no' down on that question where applicable. Thanks, Jason
