I do Dracula and twelfth night. I’m thinking something about how crossing boundaries negatively impacts a character’s journey or something but I can’t find the 2024 question so I can’t make a solid guess.

what is meant by journey? as in like their journey within the book or their geographical journey? sos if silly question

One of the great things about essay subjects is that you can make the question whatever you want it to be as long as you can back it up in your answer. So yeah physical or metaphorical journeys would both count for that

Hi ☺️
I did both as well, im pretty sure the question was something like “individuals who either conform or defy society’s expectations” - so i believe you can do a bit of both?
How did you find the paper overall?

I did both too, like even once for the same character, Nick, I talked about how at first he pretended to defy west egg society by acting above it all but then ending up conforming after he attends the party

my thesis was focused on conforming, but for my iago/nick comparison i spoke about how they had the capacity to defy against societal expectations but ultimately conformed to the upper ruling class. im sure if you do a solid mix of the two w high detail it should be no worry
