How much do Oxford and Cambridge care about GCSEs?

Understandably, when applying for undergraduate study, GCSEs will very much be taken into account, but do Oxford and Cambridge care about GCSEs when applying for a postgraduate course, or do they only focus on A Levels and bachelor’s degree classification results? Obviously you’ll need minimum grade 5+ GCSEs but do they actually care how many 7s,8s and 9s you have when applying for postgrad courses?

Thanks, Olly

They don't ask for your GCSEs or A-levels so the answer is absolutely zero. You can choose to put them on your CV but unless they're mostly a clean sweep of top grades (8s, 9s at GCSE, A*AA+ at A-level), I'd omit them.

If you haven't started your undergrad yet or have only just started, I wouldn't think about Cambridge postgrad yet.

It depends on what course you take, if you take a really really competitive course like medicine, I'd say this would have a major impact but if it for slightly less competitive course, it all depends on your predicted a level and the result of any course test such as tmua or lsat. I think for Oxford if you wanted to study C's, if you got over 85/100 100% of applicant got an interview and around 30% who got an interview got rejected
