Which university would be best for education, and for work possibilities?

I am a year thirteen students with my final A-level exaxms starting in about a month. I want to study Law at university and have gotten conditional offers from four out of five of the universities I applied to.

I am stuck choosing between making either Lancaster University, or the University of Surrey my firm. Both have given me the same offer, being ABB as long as they are my firm. What I am considering is: Lancaster is ranked tenth in the country overall, with Surrey just behind in twelth. In law, Lancaster is decently higher than Surrey in terms of university rankings. Surrey however has a better employment ranking, and I believe it is more well known and may be more enticing to employers. And finally. The university of Surrey is a lot closer to my parents house, and Lancaster is a very far drive away, possibly making a move there more difficult. I have also been to surrey/guildford a lot and I do like it there as a location, and have looked into Lancaster and the location seems nice.

What do you guys think?

And next year it'll be different. And if you looked a different publication that'd be different as well.
Which shows you how daft rankings, and similar nebulous stuff, actually are. Its certainly no way to pick a Uni because it can't possibly tell you if you will like that course, or enjoy being at that Uni.

Have you been to Open Days at each Uni - which did you prefer? Where will you feel happiest?
Surrey will be a more expensive place to live, Lancaster is probably a more interesting environment, and btw, it also has a train station for easy travel back home.
