Is ChatGPT good for essay marking gcse?

I really want to try to turn my grade from a 7 in English lit to a 9 and the same for history and sociology so I am writing my practice essays and giving it to ChatGPT to mark and so far it has been quite useful and actually marked and gave me constructive criticism and good advice for my essays but I don’t know if it’s 100% accurate. I hear ppl say use mark me ai but it’s 1 essay per week which is quite annoying and I don’t have the money for a subscription so I haven’t really considered that

i wouldn't trust it too much, but it's good if you specify *very exactly* what exam board you're doing, the type of marking & feedback you want, etc. it's not as good as a real examiner, but it does help you in telling you what to improve on, etc

tilf.io and topmarksai are really good more examiner style
gemini is too harsh and chatgpt is way too lenient

ive found chat gpt to be way to hash sometimes. Marking be at grade 6 when in my mocks/ tests i get 7/8. It really depends how you get it to mark , i tell it to overmark and be as harsh as it can therefore improving my grade.
