Product design BA at Manchester Metropolitan or Northumbria uni (or maybe falmouth)

So basically, I've got all my offers back from all my universities and now need to choose my firm and insurance. I've visited all unis on an open day/ to the offer holder days (no visits to falmouth for Open or Offer Day due to distance and weather). From these days, I think I'm learning towards man met or Northumbria, maybe falmouth?.

I live in greater Manchester so mmu is quite convinent and I could live at home to save money which is what my parents want me to do. MMU had a good offer holder day, and the whole sustainability aspect of the course interested me. The course seemed interesting with the making and the link to circular design and links to industry. By staying at home, im not sure if i would miss out on anything like making friends. I'm not sure if I would be able to cope living with my parents for another 3/4 years! My mum said that I could move somewhere with the friends I created in the first year, but I'm quite anxious and can't even talk to my school teachers without going quiet. I'm part of the 1st generation scheme which would help me at the uni.

Northumbria also interested me as the course had lots of live briefs and placement opportunities. It would also give a chance to move away from home, but the cost to live there would not be completely covered by student loans due to my parents' income being quite high. I also have allergies that need an epipen , so moving into accommodation or living away from home worries me. I can apply for the scholarship, but it would only help if I was successful, and I definitely met the requirements.

I applied for falmouth as it was a sustainable product design, which is something I'm interested in, and all my projects at school always have a sustainability aspect to them. I know someone who has applied to Exeter and at the offer holder day found it really good, but I'm worried about moving so far and that there's not much there.

I'm worried about making the wrong choice and that it may impact my future. So, if any current students could help me get a sense of what the product design course is like or what the unis are like in general,it would be appreciated.

hey, you say that you are part of the first generation programme so please can you tell me what you did on the summer taster days as I’m in Y12 and am doing the taster days this year so it would be helpful to find out what you do? Apparently you have to do a presentation- is this true? Thank you.
