Thanks. You'll want to have a read of their Postgraduate regulations 2024/25 (PDF). I draw you attention to the following paragraphs (all emphasis is my own):

"105 A student who fails a module at the first attempt may be offered one opportunity to be reassessed in that failed module."

"Reassessment Following Failure at the Second Attempt

113 A PAB may not allow any further reassessment opportunity after failure at the second attempt (see also paragraph 123).

114 A PAB may allow credit achieved to be considered for an award requiring less total credit if a student has achieved the required outcomes for the alternative award. However, this award may not normally be used for subsequent re-admission for an award on the same programme."

(Paragraph 123, mentioned above, is about the appealing that decision, by the way.)

What sort of degree are you doing? If it's a Postgraduate Diploma or Masters degree then "compensation" may apply. However, that can only apply if (a) the module is 30 credits or less, and (b) it's a "marginal fail" (marks of 45 - 49). If you think this might apply, then have a read of paragraphs 115 through 120.

Do you have a module grade code to the module in question? If so, FM means "Marginal Fail" and RR means "Repeat or replace module". You can find the meaning of other codes in Annex 1 of the document.

Masters degree . FF

FF is "Final Fail overwrite grade". That word "final" sound, well, final. :frown:

Have you discussed this with your personal tutor? My reading of the regulations is that your only option now may be an exit award. Perhaps a Postgraduate Diploma.

At this point, we will need to wait for the outcome of the Pre-Progression and Award Board (Pre-PAB). This was their reply

Understood. I guess then you can only wait. :crossedf:
