I'm really struggling to revise sciences for GCSE

hi, I really need to get my grades up in sciences, as i have a predicted six in all of them. Ideally I want to get maybe an 8 in biology and physics and a seven in chemistry. Im really worried if its late especially becuase the exams are in like 4 weeks! I struggle with chemistry the most btw :frown:( Any revision tips would be much appreciated!
Thank you!!

Hi! I don’t know what exam board you do, but if it’s AQA, BBC Bitesize has really useful summaries and a little quick on each topic. I found it helpful to revise a topic using your preferred method (flashcards, blurting etc.), and then do a quiz to make sure you understand that topic and move on.

Examiner reports are also really helpful! A big thing for science is exam technique, and the the mark scheme can be ridiculously specific, so looking at where most people go wrong and how you can answer the questions the way the exam board wants can be really helpful. Look at the mark scheme itself, as questions tend to repeat themselves, and learn what you would say to some of the main types of questions (especially 4 or 6 markers like making salts etc.) AND DO AS MANY PAST PAPERS AS POSSIBLE (INCLUDING THE SAMPLE AND SPECIMEN QUESTION PAPERS). The papers tend to have such similar questions, that this really is the best technique. You don’t need to necessarily do them timed, but having the exam paper on one tab, and the mark scheme on the other, and working through a past paper and really thinking about it when you get your mistakes is soooo helpful.

Good luck!! I’m sure you will do great, but ask me if you have any questions
