Criteria to meet home fees

Please 🙏 help me
any advice would be great

I currently hold pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme and completed my undergraduate degree in the UK as a home student.
I recently applied for a postgraduate course at Queen Mary University, but I was classified as an international student for tuition fees. I appealed this decision, explaining that I am an EU national with pre-settled status.
However, the university has asked me to provide documents such as proof of Italian residency, an employment contract, and utility bills dated prior to 31
December 2020. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide these.
I moved to the UK in 2021 and have been living here continuously for 4 years.

Given the situation, would it be possible for me to submit proof of UK residency since 2021 to be considered for home fee status?

I would be very grateful for any guidance on how to proceed with this matter.

Unis will want to see that you have actually been living here in the UK regardless of your pre-settled status. If you can't provide the evidence to prove this, then they will classify you as International for fees purposes. Yuu can query this with the Uni concerned if you think you have a case and they have made a mistake, but ultimately its their decision based on the facts before them.
