Hi, so regarding this, it is the case that most Med schools require Chemistry for undergraduate medicine however there are multiple ways into medicine. Newcastle university's Medicine and Surgery MBBS undergrad course has no subject requirements but the grade requirements AAA. The University of East Anglia has the grade requirements of AAA and has the subject requirements Biology/Human Biology or Chemistry and two further A level subjects. Please note that these may vary for 2026 entry so I recommend you triple check these requirements once the universities have updated their course info.

Some other possibilities are taking a gap year and doing the chemistry A Level to then apply for undergrad med, or doing a science based undergrad course and then doing medicine as a post-grad.

These are just a couple of options I've listed and I hope they help you. Best of luck with your application and A Levels!

There are lots of med schools that will accept a lack of chem A level, provided you have biology adn another science
