Computer Science undergrad accepted into Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, and Nottingham

Hello all,

I have been accepted into Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, and Nottingham for the G400 Computer Science program and recently visited each campus to attempt to narrow down my decision. However, I am still unsure which offer to accept. Edinburgh has the strongest reputation, but Glasgow's and Leeds's campus were much nicer. Furthermore, I prefer practical learning and it seems like Edinburgh's program leans more on the theoretical side compared to the rest. I am wondering if anyone has any insight that could help sway my decision. Would I be making a mistake by not going with Edinburgh?

Hi, I'm also struggling to choose between Leeds and Edinburgh but for Mechanical Engineering. I think overall I prefer Leeds and the way the course is structured there, I love the campus and the faculty seemed more organised and enthusiastic, plus Leeds is more affordable, but am also in the same line of thinking that rejecting Edinburgh would be a mistake!! I think in the end I want to choose Leeds because it's where I feel most excited about going, if this helps - but again I'm still indecisive and needing to make the decision before A-Levels fully begin is making me more nervous I think. Best of luck, and it's good to know that others are in the same boat!!

It definitely does feel good knowing I'm not alone! They are both great schools so I don't think we can make a wrong decision. We just have to trust our gut and make the most out of our uni life. Thank you and good luck to you as well!
