Will I get a self catered college for sure at Duhram?
I've put in my application and my top 5 preferences are self catered (there are really only 5 self catered I think) and was wondering if I'm garenteed something self catered because I've heard of ppl getting their 11th choice etc.
I ask this because I simply cannot afford the catered option and would also never want it. So are there guarantees of any kind for this type of thing, I can't be the only one?

There is no guarantee. To increase the chances you may put all the self catered colleges (John Snow, Josephine Butler etc) on top, followed by mixed catered (Castle), and catered at the bottom.

It’s a shame because at open day they said they were changing the college allocations so you would only have to submit 5 yet at offer day it was back to the 16

So what do people who firm it, get the grades and find out they are in catered do? I would feel insanely ****ed at that point

You’ll be fine. The self-catered colleges are quite big with plenty of spaces.
