PIP renewal

My PIP is up for renewal and I'm panicking.
I have been accepted into NTU and will be starting in September. I'm a mature student and I will be living with my partner and travelling around 20 miles into uni from home.
This would be no problem if I was still in receipt of PIP and had my motability car.
What I am concerned about is whether to report a change.
My friend has said not to mention uni yet as anything could happen between now and me starting, and currently there has been no change in my health.
I am also worried about what happens if I lose my claim for whatever reason. If I lose my claim and lose my motability car I will no longer be able to attend university as I will have no way to get there and I just won't be able to afford it.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation where losing their PIP would directly affect their ability to attend uni?
My other concern is that they might say if I’m able to attend uni that I no longer qualify for PIP, even though at the moment I have no idea how uni will affect me. It could be fine or I could end up really struggling.
Is there anyone at the university worth contacting about this sort of thing?
