French and linguistic at Glasgow and Edinburgh University

Hello!

Ive got all my offers from ucas back and need to make a decision. I’m having trouble deciding between The University of Glasgow ( French and English language & Linguistics) and The University of Edinburgh (French and linguistics).

I need AA for Glasgow and a B for Edinburgh. I love both places but I’m leaning towards Edinburgh but I’m scared of the ‘snobbery’ as I’m a Scottish student. The only thing that sticks out at Glasgow is the year abroad just focuses on the language and you don’t worry about the English lang and linguistics but then it means an extra year.

Anybody study at these unis have opinions on the work load or anything in general.

Interested to hear the replies as I’m in a similar situation. When did you get your Edinburgh offer? Have you got grades in hand already or what is your offer grades required? Are you Contexulised/widening access?
