Will LSE include my exchange year GPA in the final grade calculation?

Hi everyone,

I’m an offer holder for the Master programme at LSE, and I need some advice from anyone who has experience with conditional offers and exchange years.

During my second year, I completed a mandatory exchange year at a university in Hong Kong. The grades I received during that year were based on a GPA scale (out of 4.0).

However, my home university (French uni) does NOT include those grades in my official transcript or in the final average GPA (only 1st and 3rd year grades are counted towards the final result out of 20).

I’ve emailed LSE admissions, but I wanted to ask here as well:

If the exchange year grades aren’t included in the official transcript GPA, will LSE still include them when checking if I meet the 13/20 condition?

And if yes, how would a GPA of 2.91/4.0 typically be converted into the French 20-point scale?

I’d really appreciate any help from those who’ve been through something similar.

Thanks in advance!
