Same house separate income

Hello my question is what is the situation if my father and his partner live at the same address but don’t share their incomes? They are in the same household but don’t share any of their salaries together could I put my father down as single income for me? Thanks

Hi David,

Is your dad and his partner still together or separated?

Thanks,

Still together but their incomes are totally separate a very complicated situation

Hi David52,

The policy is that if they live together, they both need to provide their income details if you are under 25 and wish to receive the income assessed element of the Maintenance Loan in addition to the basic amount.

If the sponsor has a cohabiting partner, they must provide their details.

Thanks, Clare
