reapplying to lse

i got rejected from lse a couple of days ago due to my gcse grades. if i was to achieve my predicted a levels and reapply next year, would it be likely that they overlook the gcse grades?

No. GCSE requirements are mandatory and will lead to an automatic rejection if you don't meet them.

As above - 'basic skills' and not negotiable at any Uni.

I applied last year with AAA predicted and 99888877 at gcse but was still rejected on the basis of my GCSEs not being competitive enough. Unfortunately, LSE and Oxbridge are very selective in terms of GCSEs so I wouldn’t bother reapplying if they rejected you the first time. UCL and King’s are also very reputable Uni’s in London that aren’t as harsh regarding GCSE grades so they’d be a better bet.

im planning on reapplying for ucl and kings too but do you think if i achieved A*AA alevels theyd be more lenient on gcse's? i always thought that they only saw gcse grades as a way of predicting how likely youd be to achieve your predicted alevels

I got rejected from lse too because my gcse grades weren’t “competitive enough” I’m thinking of reapplying next year as well for lse, UCL and kings. What course did you apply for?
