Does not attending offer days influence your decision.

I have a couple of offer days scheduled, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I am unable to attend. These offer days are for the universities I plan to firm and insure.

Since I didn’t have a chance to attend any open days, I’m concerned whether my absence from the offer days will negatively impact their decision if I do not meet their offers. I am feeling a bit worried about this. Please help.

Nah it's not an issue.
It makes no difference whatsoever.

We don't care - because 'being at an Open Day' doesn't make you a better student.
We have no way of checking. and even if we did, we have far better things to do with our time.
Worry about something else.

It won’t affect confirmation decisions.
But it’s highly risky to pick a firm and insurance choice without visiting either.
If you can’t make offer holder days then it’s a good idea to arrange an independent visit at another time before committing to a university.

I agree. We are planning on visiting but just not on those days. Thank you very much for your input.

Hey there 😃

No worries at all life happens and missing an Open Day doesn’t mean you’re at a disadvantage! 💛 While Open Days are a great way to get a feel for the university, there are still plenty of other ways to help you make an informed decision. And most importantly, missing an Open Day has zero impact on your application!

Here are a few things you can still do:

Check for Campus Tours Many universities offer guided tours outside of formal Open Days. They’re often smaller but still give you a real feel of the campus and facilities.

Reach out via social media Lots of unis have Instagram accounts or student ambassador platforms where you can chat with current students and even academic staff. They’re usually more than happy to answer questions and share honest insights!

Look out for other upcoming events Open Days are often held regularly, sometimes monthly, so it’s worth checking if there are any coming up soon.

Explore virtual content Many universities have virtual tours, recorded taster lectures, and Q&A sessions available online. These can give you a great sense of what the course and campus vibe is like.

You’ve got this! 🙌💫

I hope it will be helpful 💪 Feel free to reach out if you have any questions 😉 You can also chat with me or other students directly through The Ambassador Platform.

Hi @Ready4Success

No need to worry—missing the offer holder days won’t affect the decision outcome. These events are designed to help you get a better feel for the university and course, rather than being part of the decision-making process.

That said, it’s a good idea to look out for any applicant-specific events (even online ones) offered by your firm and insurance choices. These can help you get a better sense of what life there might be like. If you’re able to visit the city or town itself, even without seeing the campus, that can still give you a helpful impression of whether you’d feel comfortable living there.

Hope that helps! 🙂
