Clearing
Hi, i have been offered a place from uni however this is not my choice to go on that uni. I want to go more better ones.My plan is to call few uni on result day and try to get places . Once I get verbal offer do I need to release the space which I have been offered from ucas first then add the new one as a Clearing on ucas website?

Technically you need to release yourself from your offer before you start calling around. Some unis will not have a clearing call with you whilst you’re placed elsewhere.

Can I release after I get verbal offer on the phone? Or do I need to release before I get verbal offer?

That’s up to the uni you’re speaking to.
