freshers wristbands

Ive seen people saying they arent worth it on tiktok, but then im in a snap gc for people in my uni in september, sharing a link to tickets saying the uni posted it and its official, im not sure how i feel about it? Does anyone have any advice?

They are promoters, they infiltrate group chats to pose as students and give people fomo so they buy the tickets. SUs won’t be putting out event tickets yet, that will be after results day.

I’ve also seen everywhere to not get one- I’m going to wait until after results day then maybe have a look?

Hey Anon,
I'd trust your gut on this one- those kinds of links, especially shared in gc's before you’ve even started uni, are often scams/unofficial resellers trying to make money. It’s best not to buy anything you’re unsure of.
Unis usually share proper info about freshers events directly through their websites, official emails, or social media accounts. Also fresher week plans tend to change once you arrive, especially as you start meeting people, There’ll be plenty of legit opportunities to get involved once you're there-no rush to grab tickets early! (:

Hope this helps!
