Should I take a gap year

Im hoping to Achieve A*A*A to A*A*A* in Math biology and chemistry ( I applied with predicted A*A*A*)

My GCSEs are 998887766: Grade 8 in maths

I was hoping to study economics. I was looking at applying again once I have my achieved grades. I was looking at applying to Bath/Warwick/Durham and maybe KCL. I currently have an offer from Bristol for BSc economics yet im feeling particular hesitant on going there, im not really sure why as I liked the city, I just don't feel right about it for whatever reason. Im constantly looking for reasons to convince myself. Would it be worth taking a year out.

My main goal would be to enter IB or commercial or cooperate banking, however that's not something Im completely set on.

For some additional information I did apply to Bath this year but was rejected

It seems a decision worth making on results day.

If you only just meet your offer for Bristol, perhaps it’s worth going there, as it is a competitive institution, and the ROI for taking a year out wouldn’t be great, given the likely similar opportunities post grad at any of these.

However, if you exceed your offer( A*A*A/ 3A*s) it may be worth a shot- achieved grades are stronger, and it would be a harsh rejection( depending on other areas of your app).

No need to rush your decision and go to Bristol if you won’t enjoy it- with either of those final grades you’re choices are flexible- with those A- Levels and GCSEs you should really have the pick of the bunch for targets.
