Leeds, Newcastle or QUB for med

Does anyone have any recs for where I should firm? Like any perks or negatives of the course or the uni life would be great thanks xx

My daughter trained at Newcastle and loved her time there. It is a well-run course - it's systems- based and the teaching is fantastic. Newcastle is a vibrant city and there is plenty of private accommodation once you move out after first year.

The main problem with QUB is that most students there are from NI and many go home at the weekend. There's a trainee GP at my surgery and he said that was a major drawback for him. He loved the course though.

Can't comment on the Leeds course, other than Leeds is a brilliant student city.

I’m going to Leeds for med, their teaching style is apparently really good esp since they incorporate placements in the first year itself. The city is nice too, plenty of nightlife as well
