Are my grades good enough to apply to top unis?

I want to apply for Law at LSE and Durham . Are my GCSE grades good enough? I have 87766666 (i have a 6 in maths and 7s in english) and a distinction*. I do history, business and psychology but havent gotten my target grades for a levels yet. I also do an EPQ. I do realise that my LNAT result is taken into account too.The unis I want to apply for are LSE, Durham (or Bristol), Sheffield and im not sure about the other 2 (but they would probably safer options). Is it worth it for me to apply to LSE and Durham which are from top unis for law in the UK.

Some courses will have specific GCSE requirements - for Law, typically just English - which you must meet to be considered, and most competitive courses will also 'score' your overall GCSE profile and use that as part of their assessment. The overall GCSE element will have different % weightings depending on course/Uni, and that is the sort of detail you can ask about at Uni Open Days, however its always going to be far less significant than the weightings given to your A level predictions, LNAT etc. As an example, the weighting used at Bristol for law is 20% GCSEs / 40% LNAT / 40% A level predictions.

It makes a lot more sense now, thank you!
