What unis should I apply to for BSc Economics?

Hi, I’m currently looking at university options for BSc Economics and would really appreciate some advice on where to apply based on my grades.

My GCSEs were: 9876665544 (got an 8 in Maths and 5 in English Language).
Predicted grades: A* in Maths, A* in Economics, A in Psychology.

Right now I’m thinking about Nottingham, Bristol and Birmingham.
Would those be realistic with my grades? And are there any others I should consider (aspirational or safe)?

Thanks!

You'd probably get an offer from all 3 of those with your grades. Bristol is slightly more competitive but I'd be surprised if you didn't at least get the other 2. I think you can afford to aim a bit higher with one of your choices as aspirational, but just keep in mind some unis may want a 6 in english language.

It's worth applying to one of them, it's hard to say which one would most likely give you an offer since they're all competitive. My guess would be Durham simply because London unis get so many international applicants but you should pick based on the one you like most. Just be sure to check any GCSE requirements, and keep in mind for UCL 2026 entry you'd need to sit the TMUA if you decide to apply there.

I have an offer from Bristol for economics bsc and I have A*A*A in geography, economics, and maths (the A) I definitely think if you have an A* in maths you will get in. Have you thought at all about Bath uni? And also what do you like about Bristol?

you should try University of Manchester and London school of economics- both really competitive nut i got in with 3 a's predicted and the most perfect personal statement (game changer) and their results are good aswell.
